Rayman Legends On Vita Receives Patch For Missing Levels

Ubisoft has released a promised patch adding 28 “Invasion” levels missing from the Vita version of Rayman Legends.

Back in September Ubisoft confirmed that the Vita version of Rayman Legends was missing some content present in the console versions. This happened in spite of previous promises that the Vita edition would be identical content-wise to its console siblings. Ubisoft reassured fans that the discrepancy between the two games was merely the result of some development difficulties and would be rectified with a patch later on down the road.

Happily for Rayman fans, that patch is now available, adding the missing content to the Vita game and bringing it perfectly up to par with the console editions. Ubisoft announced the patch’s release in a recent Twitter posting, also confirming that it will be available to both American and European Vita owners.

Now, we could raise a stink about the fact that it took nearly three months since the discovery of the missing content to patch it in. That being the case, it’s not like Rayman Legends on Vita was a bad game. Yes, the Invasion content, in addition to fulfilling Ubisoft’s initial promises, will make it more complete. That said, at the end of the day, Rayman Legends was still an excellent experience and is probably one of the best games on the Vita, even when some pieces were missing. That in mind, it feels to us almost like a bit of extra frosting on an already delicious cake.
