Resident Evil Spinoff Umbrella Corps Delayed to June

Capcom announced that Resident Evil spinoff Umbrella Corps will be delayed to June 21.

In a In a blog post yesterday, Capcom further detailed the character customization options in the new upcoming third-person multiplayer shooter Umbrella Corps.

“For the uninitiated, Umbrella Corps is a competitive, online third-person shooter set in the Resident Evil universe,” the post reads. “Match types like One-Life Match and Multi-Mission Mode generally involve up to three-on-three shootouts that reward quick reflexes and steady aim. Zombies, infected canines, and other B.O.W.s will also swarm players if their Zombie Jammers take damage during a shootout, adding the tension of a looming threat to every battle.”

Defeating teams and other threats will earn you points, which can then be used to unlock customizable options. These options are highlighted in a new accompanying trailer – but if you happen to prefer screenshots, we’ve got you taken care of below.

At the end of the post Capcom revealed that the game, which was originally expected to release in May, would be pushed to June 21 “so the development team can spend some extra time optimizing the game to bring you the best experience possible.”

Umbrella Corps will hit PC and PlayStation 4 as a digital download, with a price tag of $29.99.
