Run, don’t walk, to see how mashup cosplay is perfected. Plus bonus punk rock.
We didn’t get the chance to attend the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo, and now we’re wishing we had, because as it turns out, it was the setting for one of the more inventive cosplay mashups in recent memory. Brace yourselves, because a group of cosplayers decided to attend as an almost full compliment of Sailor Soldiers, but, in a stroke of pure genius, they came as [i]punk rock,/i> Sailor Soldiers.
Who’s who: Sailor Moon is portrayed by Noble Actions; Mini Moon is portrayed by Emi Wang; Sailor Mars is Dara Defreitas Cosplay; Sailor Jupiter is Ashley Fex; Sailor Uranus is Creations by Caiti; Sailor Pluto is represented here by Xiandelle Cosplay; Sailor Mercury is Suzie Dempster; Sailor Venus is Amber M.; Sailor Neptune is Jennifer Wiens; and finally, Sailor Saturn is Krista MacPherson. Photos are by Vivid Vision.
As an added bonus, we’ve thrown in some actual Punk Rock, just because any excuse to listen to good music is fully justifiable. Enjoy, and lament on the things you’ve done that aren’t remotely as cool as this.
