Before you’re able to play with everything Super Mario Maker has to offer, you’ll need to unlock it’s full spread of level creation tools over a nine day period. How does the rollout system work? Check out the list below to see what becomes available when.

Super Mario Maker give you the tools to make all new 2D Mario levels and share them with friends. Most of the enemies and elements aren’t available at the start, but it only takes five minutes of play a day to earn additional unlockables. That might sound like a long time, but there’s so much to learn and uncover you might need those hours of exploration to acquire those basic level-building skills. See the order everything is earned with the full list below.

Unlockables Rollout Guide

The Tool Palette is the heart of Super Mario Maker’s creation system. Here is where you’ll find and place blocks, enemies, platforms, or anything else from the multiple style sets available in the game.

But, you won’t be able to use everything right from the start. More items are unlocked everyday under one condition: you must play for 5 minutes to earn a notification, unlocking the next set of items the next day.
