I think Stuart Lee nailed the difficulty in making jokes about Muslims in his 41st Best Stand-Up Ever Tour. Like all religions, Islam is ripe territory for comedy, but it’s hard to tell if your audience is laughing because your joke is funny, or because they’re xenophobic turds looking for any excuse to put the boot in on a religion they don’t even begin to understand.
