Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII is coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (yes, really). Cloud Strife will be alone no longer, as his rival made his Smash Bros. debut at The Game Awards 2020 alongside an intense reveal trailer. The Square Enix character is Nintendo’s third addition to the game’s second lineup of DLC fighters, with three more planned to make an appearance throughout 2021. See how Sephiroth, who will come to the game sometime this month, crashed the ceremony in his fighting game reveal trailer below.

Many fans have complained about Cloud’s lack of support in-game, with the Final Fantasy VII protagonist only sporting a few music tracks since his inclusion in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS. Hopefully, Sephiroth’s addition to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster eases some of those concerns.
Steve from Minecraft came as the game’s previous DLC fighter.
