EA and developer Full Circle have published a developer update video for Skate 4, revealing a lot of (very) early-in-development gameplay and announcing playtest signup plans. The footage ranges from basic-looking environments to gameplay that looks mostly put together, but all of it looks like an exciting evolution for the extreme sports franchise. While the trailer describes the footage as “pre-pre-pre-alpha,” some of the parkour elements hint that the next entry in the Skate franchise will be just as chaotic as past games. Watch your latest look at Skate 4 below.
It seems like Skate 4 will offer more playgrounds than ever before, and you won’t have to wait much longer before you can try out new gameplay for yourself. You can sign up to be a Skate 4 insider on EA’s website, and doing so offers the chance to playtest early versions of the game on PC. There’s no specific date regarding when these playtests will begin, but the best way to be the first to know is to sign up for these closed gameplay periods. However, at the time of publication, the line to sign up is quite long, so be ready to wait.
This isn’t the first early-in-development Skate 4 video we’ve seen, and it likely won’t be the last. Until then or at least until EA and Full Circle have more to share, you can keep checking in for updates.
