Thanks to Skyrim you’ll soon be able to add “dragon slayer,” “woodcutter,” and “life-long learner” to your achievement list resume.
It seems that you can’t be a triple A title anymore without your achievement list leaking onto the internet. The latest “victim” is the newest Elder Scrolls game, Skyrim. The list obviously contains some mild spoilers, but as is often the case with this sort of thing, they’re rather minor.

What’s interesting about the list is that it’s a lot closer to Fallout 3’s achievement list than it is to Oblivion’s. It also seems – and I’m assuming that if you’ve read this far you’re not worried about minor spoilers – that you will have to choose a side at some point in the game as well. I really like the fact that there are rewards available for a wider range of activities than in Oblivion. You get points for exploring and tackling dungeons, for example, quite independent of any quest awards you might receive.
Skyrim comes out for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on November 11th.
