Following yesterday’s murmurs of an impending PS3 price cut, Sony president Ryoji Chubachi said that for now, the market’s most expensive console will stay just that.
“We have no immediate plans as of now,” Chubachi commented to Bloomberg, adding that any price moves would be determined only by the company’s gaming division.
Yesterday, GameDaily had reported a retail-wide $100 price cut confirmation from an unidentified retail manager.
Proof was supplied in the form of a scan of an upcoming July 15 advertisement showing a $100 price break on the console.
