A cryptic Tweet from the official South Park Twitter this week suggested a Nintendo port of The Fractured But Whole.
Earlier in the week, the official South Park Twitter account Tweeted the following:
Nin-ten-do. I'm coming. I'm coming, Nin-ten-do #blizzard2017 pic.twitter.com/FC4xIDKWkK— South Park (@SouthPark) March 13, 2017
Excited fans thought that this was a cryptic suggestion that the upcoming South Park: The Fractured But Whole was making its way to the Nintendo Switch. However, a representative for the show has now come out and announced that there is currently no Switch version of the game planned.
“South Park: The Fractured But Whole won’t be coming to [the Nintendo] Switch,” a representative for the South Park studio via Comedy Central confirmed to IGN when asked about the Tweet.
Likely, the Tweet is simply a reference to the episode it was taken from: a 2006 storyline in which Cartman attempts to cryogenically freeze himself in order to skip straight ahead to the launch of the Nintendo Wii.
Last we heard about The Fractured But Whole, it had been delayed again, and is now scheduled to launch in the next fiscal year (April 1, 2017 – April 1, 2018).
