Ubisoft has revealed that its once-rumored Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell VR games are real and in the works for Oculus hardware. The new entries were revealed today during the annual Facebook Connect (previously called Oculus Connect) event that focused on the future of Facebook’s VR endeavors. Both titles are being made exclusively for Oculus platforms by Ubisoft Red Storm, with Ubisoft Reflections, Ubisoft Düsseldorf, and Ubisoft Mumbai co-developing.

Neither Facebook nor Ubisoft shared any information regarding what to expect from the Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell VR outings, so we’ll have to wait to hear more information on things such as a release date and gameplay details.

Facebook also also announced Oculus Quest 2 during Facebook Connect, which launches Oct. 13 for $299. With more hardware and new games on the way, Facebook is all in on VR for the foreseeable future.

While the core Assassin’s Creed franchise is continuing to move forward with this year’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Splinter Cell fans have been getting love in different ways. For example, there is reportedly a partnership between Ubisoft and Netflix to create an adult television series about the property, and Splinter Cell star Sam Fisher is currently planned to come to Rainbow Six Siege as the game’s latest Operator.
