The July 2020 Stadia Connect has revealed exclusive partnerships, games, and new features coming to Google’s streaming-based game platform. The partnerships in question will see Until Dawn and Little Hope developer Supermassive Games, Rock Band and Fuser studio Harmonix, and City of Brass developer Uppercut Games creating exclusive games for Google Stadia.
Partnerships with Supermassive, Harmonix, and Uppercut were perhaps the biggest surprises from today, though another exciting deal will see Super Bomberman R Online coming first to Stadia later this year. The 64-player online game will support the platform’s Crowd Play feature, allowing players to play with their favorite streamers via invite.
The Stadia Connect also saw Gears Tactics developer Splash Damage reveal its colorful multiplayer game, Outcasters, today, after announcing a deal with Google in March 2020. Meanwhile, Robot Entertainment shared its exclusive game, Orcs Must Die! 3, which is the latest entry in its tower defense series and can be played for free via Stadia Pro or separately for $29.99 starting today.
Stadia users are also receiving a healthy number of previously announced games in the coming months, including Dead by Daylight in September, which comes with cross-platform play for all consoles and cross-progression with PC and Nintendo Switch. Additionally, One Hand Clapping, a 2D puzzle game, enters Stadia Early Access today, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Season 8 comes to the platform on July 30, and Hitman 1 and 2 arrive on Sept. 1, with Hitman 3 coming in January 2021.

In the Stadia Connect, Google also announced the availability of the long-awaited Click to Play feature, which allows players to immediately jump into certain Google Stadia games without downloads with the simple click of a button in places such as a relevant YouTube video. Click to Play was first announced as a key feature when the platform was first revealed.
