The Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin – Trials of the Dragon King release date teaser trailer shows off the Warrior of Light and apparen as an adversary, which should provide some interesting wrinkles. At the least, it’s good fan service in a game that already had a sizable amount of it.

Square Enix launched Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and PC via Epic Games Store this past March, and the game has a console demo available with save data transferable over to the full game. It is a reimagining of the original Final Fantasy game with Soulslike combat, and it was fairly well received, depending upon whom you ask.

Trials of the Dragon King will keep the fun going as the first DLC expansion for Stranger of Paradise this July.
