The game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has received a quiet delay to 2023, according to a report from Bloomberg. It was originally set to arrive on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S sometime in 2022. Updates for developer Rocksteady Studios’ long-awaited Batman: Arkham Knight follow-up have been few and far between, and with pandemic struggles continuing to create roadblocks, a delay shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. Still, though, until we hear more from the developers, it’s safe to assume extra time to work on the project will leave everyone with a better product overall.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was first revealed in 2020 — five years after the launch of Rocksteady’s last game, Batman: Arkham Knight. Our last good look came in December 2021, when the studio gave us our first good look at what it will be like to play as each of the game’s vicious characters. We’re still waiting for an official statement from Warner Bros. and Rocksteady regarding the delay, but at least there’s still Gotham Knights to look forward to this year, right?
