Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is coming to Nintendo Switch early next year. Nintendo revealed the latest upgraded Wii U port as part of Mario’s 35th anniversary during a special surprise Nintendo Direct. Alongside its launch on Feb. 12, 2021, the $59.99 remaster will include the aforementioned bonus content of Bowser’s Fury, which, other than the grim look shown in the trailer below, has not been detailed at all yet.
But wait, there’s more: Special Cat Mario and Cat Peach amiibo will launch on Feb. 12 as well. Nintendo shared images of the two figures below but has not explained if they will provide any additional in-game benefits yet.

With Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury launching in just a few short months, it should not be too long before Nintendo unveils more about the additional content. Plus, the company says that it will unveil more details about online multiplayer and even more new features closer to launch. Right now, local and online cooperative play is confirmed.
Super Mario 3D World on Switch joined a number of other Mario-related remaster rumors in March of this year when reports stated that Nintendo had big plans for the plumber in 2020. These rumors came to a head today, as Super Mario 3D All-Stars, a bundle including Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy, was revealed for Nintendo Switch.
