During Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase today, developer Tribute Games announced that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year. The game is being published by Dotemu, which also published Streets of Rage 4 and Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap.
Shredder’s Revenge has a new story mode. Bebop and Rocksteady are attacking Channel 6 and stealing devices in order to support Krang and Shredder’s evil plans. It’s up to the turtles to save the day. There are many iconic locations in the game, including Manhattan and Coney Island. Many enemies will be present as well, such as Foot Soldiers, Triceraton Warriors, and Rock Troops.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge can support up to four players in local or online play. Each of the four turtles is unique in his own ways, with different fighting styles and movement animations that display their personalities. The sidescrolling beat ’em genre is perfect as it takes the aesthetic all the way back to the ’80s, and the colorful pixel art graphics make the game pop out.
Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge was announced last month for PC and unspecified consoles, but the specific announcement of Nintendo Switch is new. The game is set to launch sometime later this year.
