Ryan Reynolds has a chance to meet his younger self (and save the world) in the first trailer for Netflix’s The Adam Project. The story follows Reynolds’ time-traveling title character, Adam Reed, after crash-landing in the year 2022. It’s there he finds and reconnects with his family and also a 12-year-old version of himself. It’s a bombastic sci-fi version of a question many think about: What would you tell a younger version of yourself if given the chance? The Adam Project hits Netflix on March 11, only a month away. We got some first-look images of The Adam Project just last week. The photos showed our first glimpse at its cast, which includes the likes of Zoe Saldana (Guardians of the Galaxy), Jennifer Garner (13 Going on 30), and Mark Ruffalo (The Avengers). The images also gave us a look at young Adam, played by Walker Scobell.
The Adam Project looks to strike a more serious tone after Reynolds and director Shawn Levy joined for last year’s highly successful gaming comedy, Free Guy. Thankfully, it looks like those who are used to seeing the Deadpool actor fight back against nearly unbeatable odds will have plenty of action to keep them satiated in-between the more serious character moments.
