We’ve finally been given a longer official look at Netflix’s The Cuphead Show! in action. The NX Twitter account shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse at what Studio MDHR and King Features Syndicate have been cooking up. Most of the footage in the tweet below isn’t quite finished, but there are a few scenes that seem to be part of what the finished product will offer.
Executive Producer CJ Kettler at King Features shared her feelings regarding what it’s like to work on The Cuphead Show!, saying, “Reimagining the Fleischer style with these incredibly relatable siblings is gonna be pretty fresh and new.”
Cuphead voice actor Tru Valentino (Fast & Furious Spy Racers) and Mugman voice actor Frank Todaro (Transformers: War for Cybertron) both make an appearance in the video too, giving us a taste of the duo’s new voices.

A bit of footage of the show also appeared online earlier this month from the Annecy Festival.
The Cuphead Show! was revealed in July of last year as an animated series that plans to flesh out the world of MDHR’s original video game, Cuphead. Since then, we’ve learned that the aim is to offer a comedic take on the cartoonish world that both children and adults can enjoy. Additionally, season 1 will apparently have a snappy 11 episodes that clock in at just around 10 minutes each.
Netflix still hasn’t given The Cuphead Show! any sort of release window, but with progress seeming to be proceeding nicely, hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to know more.
