If you’re looking for the best in TV, look no further than this year’s Emmy Award nominees.
Update: The Emmy Awards are on NBC tonight at 8PM. If you don’t have access to cable television (or decent reception with an antenna), you’re out of luck — but you can still follow the festivities and announcements on your favorite social networks… which might even be more entertaining than watching the 3-hour affair all the way through. In the meanwhile, check out this year’s nominees below and be sure to let us know who you think ought to take home an Emmy this year or test your Emmy knowledge with our Emmy quiz!
With only 24 hours in every day and a little more than a month before the Emmy Awards (on August 25th), you may yet have time to catch up on your TV viewing and watch all of these Emmy nominees… but probably not. (There are a lot of nominees. A lot.) HBO dominates many categories with nominations for Game of Thrones and True Detective — but Netflix is also a notable presence with House of Cards, Orange Is the New Black, and The Square. Of course you’ll find other favorites, too, like Breaking Bad and Downton Abbey.
Read on for major nominations or head to Emmys.com for the latest updates as well as plenty more awards categories.
