The footage offers more than just launch plans, however, as it also gives a better look at The Medium’s dual reality settings that are inspired by Polish artist Zdzisław Beksiński. Bloober says it studied Beksiński’s work in order to accurately capture his “visually distinct and nightmarish atmosphere.” The trailer also serves up a taste of Arkadiusz Reikowski and Akira Yamaoka’s dual score for your listening pleasure. Our last update on The Medium came just a few weeks ago with a September trailer that put a spotlight on Troy Baker as the game’s antagonist, The Maw. Baker’s creepy vocal work is only part of the story, though, as the trailer also showed off more Silent Hill vibes, protagonist Marianne, and the strange masked character, Sadness. A few months earlier, Bloober revealed some gameplay footage, showcasing The Medium’s two worlds.

The Medium was revealed during an Xbox Series X Inside Xbox presentation in May of this year as a Silent Hill-inspired psychological horror game from the studio that developed Observer and Layers of Fear.
