The Most Dangerous Game Trailer Has Familiar Faces & Looks Dangerously Low-Budget

The Most Dangerous Game movie 2022 remake trailer

The first trailer for The Most Dangerous Game 2022 remake movie is here, and it offers a glimpse at a… very low-budget-looking version of the 1930s thriller classic that was based on the 1920s short story. The audio and acting look bad enough on their own, but there are a few moments thrown into this trailer that look downright comedic. However, there are a few familiar faces in this rough-around-the-edges reimagining, so be sure to watch The Most Dangerous Game trailer below to see what’s in store.

This 2022 edition of The Most Dangerous Game was written and directed by Justin Lee (Final Kill) and comes from Koenig Pictures and Charach Productions, with Mill Creek Entertainment co-producing. In front of the camera are Platoon’s Tom Berenger, Nebraska’s Bruce Dern, Starship Troopers’ Caspar Van Dien, Judd Nelson from The Breakfast Club, and Chris “CT” Tamburello from MTV’s The Challenge.

If you’re unfamiliar with The Most Dangerous Game, the original tale sees a murderous big-game hunter tracking and killing humans after they wash up on his seemingly deserted island. The Most Dangerous Game remake alters a few story details while still aiming to maintain the same classic thrills.

It might miss the mark, but here is a story synopsis: “A father and son are shipwrecked on a remote island where they are caught up in a trophy hunt held by its mysterious owner, a merciless man who uses the land as an elite hunting preserve for stalking the most dangerous game of all: human.”

The Most Dangerous Game might be the premier so-bad-it’s-good movie of 2022, so keep an eye out for it to come to select theaters and on-demand options on August 5.
