The problem with PC gaming is that the first hit is always free. You can always run that one game at 60fps (or 120fps if you’re all kinds of hardcore like me) and perfect image quality on your new rig. But then, over time, the high fades. You find yourself having to turn down settings, or look up tweak guides to maintain that smooth sixty. Then it’s not long before you’re looking at up-scaling resolutions, disabling shadows, and sexually pleasuring burly men in truck stops to earn this month’s “nvidia money.”
