Were you holding back on tossing a coin to your witcher because his armor just didn’t do it for you? Then now’s your chance to correct that mistake as Henry Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia will have a new set of armor for Netflix’s The Witcher season 2, and we have our first look at it now. The new armor looks a bit clunkier than last season’s, but that probably won’t stop Geralt from killing a lot of people in it. The show is currently in production in the U.K.

The Witcher season 2 will feature only a single timeline, removing one of the more confusing aspects of the first season. It will also feature Geralt’s mentor Vesemir, who will be played by Kim Bodnia. In the second season, Geralt “brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.” Netflix is teasing that it’ll be revealing more this week as well.
That leads us to some less official news, as it seems that season 3 of the The Witcher has been accidentally confirmed. Redanian Intelligence found that the show had been listed on Writers Guild of America’s directories. The listing features showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich returning. This could be what Netflix is teasing in its press release for the images, possibly coupled with a teaser trailer for the next season as it recently did with Cobra Kai.
The Witcher season 2 does not have a release date yet.
