If you’re wanting to get your hands on this retro NES 3DS XL, you’ll have to bite the bullet and shop at GameStop.
At the GameStop Expo 2014, the video game retailer unveiled three new flavors of 3DS XL’s that are due to release this year. The first is the Super Smash Bros.-themed 3DS we saw earlier, which will be made available from multiple retailers, but the other two, a Persona-themed purple 3DS, and the very snazzy NES-themed grey 3DS, will be exclusive to GameStop.
You can check out all three new 3DS models below:
The Super Smash Bros. 3DS XL will hit store shelves first on September 19, just ahead of the launch of Super Smash Bros. 3DS on October 3. The retro-inspired NES Edition 3DS XL follows on October 10, featuring an NES controller design on its lid. Finally, the Persona Q Edition 3DS XL will launch alongside Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth on November 25.
All three units are priced at $199.99. Sadly, the Smash Bros. and Persona 3DS XL’s don’t actually come with a copy of their respective games.
