Three Sega Genesis Titles Were Just Added to Nintendo Switch Online

Sega Genesis Nintendo Switch Online

Fans of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service are eating well this month. Just last week, racing enthusiasts rejoiced over the fact F-Zero X was added to the Nintendo 64 library. But what about the Sega Genesis portion of the application? We haven’t had any news since December when we received a total of five games. Surprisingly, out of nowhere, the Sega Genesis section of Nintendo Switch Online just updated to include three additional games.

Here are the three titles that were recently added:

  • Alien Soldier – developed by Treasure, this game has you playing as a weird bird thing. You must defeat 25 bosses in a kind of boss rush, utilizing your various moves at the right time. It’s super difficult.
  • Super Fantasy Zone – take control of the ship Opa-Opa across eight different planets. It’s a fun side-scrolling shoot ’em up that lets you buy and customize upgrades for your vehicle.
  • Light Crusader – this action RPG featuring an isometric view is also from Treasure. It has swords, magic, AND dragons.

Check out some gameplay clips below. You gotta love the Genesis fart sounds. So nostalgic!

If you have a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership plan, you can access these titles right now by updating your Sega Genesis application. Have fun reliving the glory of your youth.
