Frontier’s Edge will contain three additional Titanfall maps for $9.99.
Respawn has revealed some details for the second piece of Titanfall DLC. Named “Frontier’s Edge“, the map pack will contain three new maps, and retail for $9.99 (or at no additional cost for Titanfall season pass holders). The developer did not announce a release date for the DLC, but we can assume it won’t be too far off.
The DLC will feature three new maps “including the isolated mining outpost of Dig Site, the exclusive beach resort of Haven and the mining hub on the side of a mountain known as Export”.
No further information, such as whether the DLC will also include additional titans, weapons or game modes, was mentioned (thought it seems unlikely).
Resapwn has only just recently released Expedition, the first of the three confirmed Titanfall DLC packs, which contained three new multiplayer maps: Runoff, Swampland and War Games. Expedition, Frontier’s Edge, and a third, unnamed DLC make up the $24.99 Titanfall season pass.
Additional game modes, as well as Titan burn cards, were also recently released as a free update for all players of the game.
However, for those of you hoping for some kind of single-player DLC, don’t hold your breath, as Respawn specifically stressed that adding in single-player “would feel like a step backwards” for the game.
