Those who own the standard version of the game digitally on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will be able to upgrade to the new versions for $10. Digital Deluxe version purchasers can upgrade for free. The upgrade process for the physical versions, however, is trickier.

Owners of a PS4 physical copy of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 can upgrade to a digital PS5 copy for the $10 fee. The PS4 disc is required to be inserted inside the PS5 in order to start and play the game on the system each time. Additionally, this physical disc upgrade offer is not available for those who have a PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, since it doesn’t have a disc drive.

Unfortunately, the physical upgrade offer is not available whatsoever for those who own the Xbox One disc version. All save data from the PS4 and Xbox One versions will carry over to the PS5 and Xbox Series versions though.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 released last year on Sept. 4. The Nintendo Switch version’s release date has yet to be announced. In related news, developer Vicarious Visions merged with Blizzard last month and is developing Diablo II: Resurrected.
