Let’s face it, regardless of whatever party you lean towards, whatever stance you have about the man, we can all agree on one thing, Donald Trump is a huge fan of using twitter to rant about anyone or anything that bothers him.
We’ve picked 8 of the greatest twitter rants Trump had towards those he felt wronged him in some way. I’ll let you be the judge if he was right or wrong with his tweets to others.
Trump vs. Intelligence Agencies
Intelligence agencies should never have allowed this fake news to "leak" into the public. One last shot at me.Are we living in Nazi Germany?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 11, 2017
This tweet was made just today. This is a bit of an odd story. It seems that the latest rumor is we have evidence that Russia is blackmailing the President-Elect with quite pornographic evidence that he engaged in extramarital sexual encounters with prostitutes in Russia. I’ll spare the details of the actual sexual experience as it’s not everyone’s fetish.
This time, justifiably, Trump responded calling it “fake” and adding to his conspiracy theory that everyone, including our intelligence agencies, is “out to get him”.
It did create a rather humorous hashtag – #PEEOTUS
Trump vs. Paul Ryan and other Republicans
Our very weak and ineffective leader, Paul Ryan, had a bad conference call where his members went wild at his disloyalty.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 11, 2016
It strikes me as an odd move that Trump has decided to attack those leaders in the legislative body of our government. After all, without them, he can’t do a lot of what he promised or even govern properly. Sure, he can issue executive orders, but when he’s picking a fight with anyone with power, those orders can be challenged and overturned.
Once he’s sworn in on the 21st, it should be an interesting first 180 days, to say the least.
Trump vs. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Justice Ginsburg of the U.S. Supreme Court has embarrassed all by making very dumb political statements about me. Her mind is shot – resign!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 13, 2016
Our soon-to-be POTUS held nothing back as he went after a Supreme Court Justice for voicing her opinion about him.
In an interview with CNN, Ginsburg had called Trump “a faker” with an “ego”. “He has no consistency about him. He says whatever comes into his head at the moment.”
This seems to be a rather mild insult to go straight to attacking her mental state for feeling this way about a, now, political figure.
Was he justified with what he said? You be the judge.
Trump vs. CNN
President Elect Trump holds nothing back when talking about media outlets as he’s stated numerous times that they are “fake” or “biased”.
I thought that @CNN would get better after they failed so badly in their support of Hillary Clinton however, since election, they are worse!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 29, 2016
.@CNN is so embarrassed by their total (100%) support of Hillary Clinton, and yet her loss in a landslide, that they don't know what to do.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 29, 2016
"@JoeBowman12: @jeffzeleny just another generic CNN part time wannabe journalist !" @CNN still doesn't get it. They will never learn!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 29, 2016
"@JoeBowman12: @jeffzeleny just another generic CNN part time wannabe journalist !" @CNN still doesn't get it. They will never learn!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 29, 2016
While it was understood that he was attacking media outlets that reported negative publicity about him, so it was expected, he won. One wonders why he’s still on Twitter to badmouth them so much?
Trump vs. The Cast of Hamilton
The cast and producers of Hamilton, which I hear is highly overrated, should immediately apologize to Mike Pence for their terrible behavior— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 20, 2016
P.E. Trump has taken to Twitter to demand an apology from the cast of Hamilton for supposedly harassing VP-Elect Mike Pence for calling on him to “uphold our American values”.
One of the members of the cast, Brandon Dixon, responded to the President Elect attempting to show it wasn’t any sort of harassment –
@realDonaldTrump conversation is not harassment sir. And I appreciate @mike_pence for stopping to listen.— Brandon Victor Dixon (@BrandonVDixon) November 19, 2016
Should the President-Elect have been involved in this situation?
Here is what was said by the Hamilton cast that caused such a fervor –
” Vice President-elect Pence, we welcome you and we truly thank you for joining us here at ‘Hamilton: An American Musical.’ We really do,” Dixon said.
“We, sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and work on behalf of all of us. All of us.”
Trump vs. Alec Baldwin
Alec Baldwin has taken the stage of Saturday Night Live as a satirical version of Donald Trump. While many out there enjoyed his imitation of the President-Elect, Trump himself was not amused.
I watched parts of @nbcsnl Saturday Night Live last night. It is a totally one-sided, biased show – nothing funny at all. Equal time for us?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 20, 2016
Mr. Baldwin responded with a particularly effective response:
…@realDonaldTrump
Equal time?
Election is over. There is no more equal time. Now u try 2 b Pres + ppl respond. That's pretty much it.— ABFoundation (@ABFalecbaldwin) November 20, 2016
What do you think? Should Mr. Trump, as President, worry so much about what a celebrity says about him? I would assume his time would be far more important to worry about a comedian poking a bit of fun at a person with the most powerful job in the land.
Trump vs. Clinton
Obama just endorsed Crooked Hillary. He wants four more years of Obama?but nobody else does!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 9, 2016
Trump vs. Clinton on Twitter was a one of a kind thing. It was the first time that social media was used more than debates or press releases to promote a prospective President of the United States.
Trump used his Twitter account as if it was his only way of speaking and when making a remark about President Obama’s endorsement for Clinton, he, of course, had to ensure everyone knew what he thought.
Clinton responded with a simple tweet heard around the world –
Delete your account. https://t.co/Oa92sncRQY— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) June 9, 2016
A few hours later…
How long did it take your staff of 823 people to think that up–and where are your 33,000 emails that you deleted? https://t.co/gECLNtQizQ— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 9, 2016
This particular back and forth between the two candidates was arguably one of the most popular of any “twitter war” they had.
Trump vs. Meryl Streep
Meryl Streep, one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood, doesn't know me but attacked last night at the Golden Globes. She is a…..— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 9, 2017
Hillary flunky who lost big. For the 100th time, I never "mocked" a disabled reporter (would never do that) but simply showed him…….— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 9, 2017
"groveling" when he totally changed a 16 year old story that he had written in order to make me look bad. Just more very dishonest media!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 9, 2017
This is the latest rant that the soon-to-be POTUS threw on Twitter. The highly acclaimed actor used time in her acceptance speech of a lifetime achievement award to talk about her concerns regarding a “certain someone” that poked fun at a physical condition that reporter Serge Kovaleski is diagnosed with.
She was careful not to name names, but it was all too clear who she was referring to and Mr. Trump took to his twitter account to attack Meryl Streep’s credibility and talent in her job.
