Just what is it that makes the idea of the criminal underworld such an appealing one for fiction? Is it the idea of living unrestrained by society’s laws, bound only by your own moral code – respectful in its own way? Do we like the Godfather movies and the GTA games because we grow up playing cops and robbers?
I can’t say that I know, but I can say that games that send gamers delving into the criminal underworld are pretty darn popular.
