Twitch Teams up With Amazon to Bring You Twitch Prime

Twitch Prime brings the benefits of your Amazon Prime membership over to Twitch, with free subscriptions, and other goodies.

Ever since Amazon bought Twitch back in 2014, gamers have been wondering how the new owners would make the most of its new property. Well, at Twitch con this weekend, Twitch announced the first major collaborative effort between the two companies: Twitch Prime. Twitch Prime is exactly what it sounds like, Amazon Prime for your Twitch account. It comes with plenty of goodies like free subscriptions, and what’s more, if you already are an Amazon Prime member, it’s completely free!

So what exactly does Twitch Prime give you? First up, you’ll get free gaming loot every month. For example, this month all Twitch Prime members will get a free copy of Streamline, and some other in-game goodies. Once you’ve linked your Amazon Prime account to your Twitch account, you’ll also get a completely ad-free viewing experience, exclusive emotes and chat badge, and one free channel subscription every 30 days. And don’t worry about cheating your favorite channels out of subscriber cash – when you use your free channel subscription, the channel owner still gets paid the same as usual.

Getting Twitch Prime is as easy as signing up for Amazon Prime, and then linking your Amazon account to your Twitch account over at Twitchprime.com.

There are, of course, some country restrictions. Twitch Prime is currently only available in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. For those of you in countries outside of this limited list, you’ll have to make do with Twitch Turbo, which, by the way, is being removed in countries where Twitch Prime is available.
