Ubisoft Fixes Rainbow Six: Vegas Content Snafu

Downloadable content for the shooter originally cost Xbox 360 owners $10, even though it was already loaded on the disc for PlayStation 3 owners.

Game publisher Ubisoft issued an apology to owners of the tactical first-person shooter Rainbow Six: Vegas, after it charged Xbox360 owners for downloadable content that is already included in the PlayStation 3 version.

Ubisoft explained through its website, “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas Black Pack Downloadable Content for Xbox 360 Live was originally intended to be free content for the fans of Rainbow Six Vegas. We apologize for the error. All players who purchased the Black Pack will be reimbursed automatically. The Black Pack will be posted Saturday June 30 and will be free of charge.”

The maps in question originally cost 800 Microsoft Points, or $10. An earlier map pack, which also was priced at $10, will be made free on July 6, as well.
