PS4 owners will get a first crack at the beta for Bungie’s highly-anticipated shooter, with some having the chance to access the Destiny Alpha later this week.
Updated: The PS4 version of Destiny will also include a PS4 exclusive “Strike on Mars” mission and co-op map, available at launch.
Original Story: Sony’s press conference started with the announcement that PS4 gamers will get first access to the beta of Destiny, which will take place on July 17.
PS4 gamers will also have the chance to take part in the game’s First Look Alpha, which will be available on Thursday, June 12, at noon pacific time and run until Sunday, June 15, at 11:59 p.m. pacific time. Players interested in registering for a chance to enter the alpha can do so here.
The Bungie shooter, the first the Halo creator has made since becoming independent from Microsoft, will be made available in a special Sony bundle which will include a “glacier white” PS4 with a 500 gigabyte hard drive and 30 days of the PlayStation Plus service. Destiny launches September 9.
