Valkyrie Elysium Release Date Trailer Reveals PlayStation Launch First, Steam Later

Valkyrie Elysium release date trailer September 29, 2022 PS4 PS5 PlayStation 4 5 November 11 PC Steam Square Enix action RPG

Square Enix has released a new trailer full of gameplay and story teases for action RPG Valkyrie Elysium, and the trailer sets one release date for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions and a second, later release for the PC release. Valkyrie Elysium has a PS4 and PS5 release date of September 29, 2022, and it will launch on Steam on November 11, 2022. If you intend to play the game on PC, a month and change should be a pretty bearable wait.

The game is in development at Soleil Ltd, with Motoi Sakuraba providing the soundtrack and Yuya Nagai of CyDesignation providing character design. The action RPG gameplay will involve real-time combos with finishing moves and spontaneous strategizing. As the Valkyrie Elysium release date trailer demonstrates, you can also recruit Einherjar, who can be summoned to fight alongside you. The goal is to stop Ragnarok. In several ways, this title feels like it directly continues themes and mechanics of the original Valkyrie games, a series that originally launched in North America in 2000 with Valkyrie Profile on PlayStation 1.

There is still a lot we don’t know about this game as far as mechanics, so keep an eye out for more updates from Square Enix and Soleil as its release date(s) approaches this fall.
