Greg Richardson appointed to CEO of Bioware/Pandemic parent company.
Now that John Riccitiello has rejoined Electronic Arts, VG Holding has chosen Greg Richardson as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. VG Holding, an operating company designed by technology private equity group Elevation Partners, manages game developer Bioware/Pandemic. Richardson served as a part-time CEO and partner at Elevation Partners before Riccitiello’s departure and has been a part of the combined Bioware/Pandemic as Vice President of Commercial Operations since the two studios merged in 2005.
Roger McNamee, co-founder of Elevation Partners, feels that Greg Richardson is fit for the role. “The BioWare/Pandemic alliance broke new ground with two of the top independent game studios coming together to collaborate on creative ideas and cutting edge technologies while supporting distinctive cultures and strengths. A catalyst in the creation of this unique venture, Greg is the natural choice to work with the BioWare/Pandemic executives as they continue to create award-winning titles and expand their talent base.”
John Resnick of Pandemic added, “We have succeeded and will continue to succeed because we have put together an all-star creative, production and operations team. Greg will be a strong addition to the team in his new role as CEO of VG Holdings.”
