In a video released today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment revealed some of the voice talent in the upcoming LEGO Dimensions video game.
“It’s almost like we’re in a video game.”
“That is the single most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.”
Now that I’m done laughing at that, let’s get to it!
Warner Bros. Interactive has released a video that highlights many of the voices we will be hearing in the upcoming LEGO Dimensions video game, which launches on September 29 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Wii U. LEGO Dimensions will merge 14 universes from film, television, and video games into one interactive LEGO experience. It will also merge dozens of entertainment greats into one interactive LEGO experience, and that is equally as exciting.
“We wanted everything to be as authentic as possible,” says Creative Director Jon Burton.
In the interest of authenticity, Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd reprise their roles from Back to the Future. In addition, Stephen Merchant and Ellen McLain represent Portal, Troy Baker is Batman, Tara Strong plays Harley Quinn, and Gary Oldman assumes the role of Lord Vortech, the evil mastermind who seeks to control the LEGO Multiverse. Chris Pratt and Irrfan Khan will cover Jurassic World, Peter Capadi will take the role of the 12th Doctor, while Jenna Coleman will be his companion, Clara, and Michelle Gomez will voice Missy.
From The LEGO Movie, Chris Pratt returns as Emmet, Elizabeth Banks as Wyldstyle, Alison Brie as UniKitty, and Charlie Day as Benny.
According to a press release from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the game will also feature members of the original cast of Ghostbusters, The Lord of the Rings, The Simpsons™, and Scooby Doo™.
Also confirmed from the video: Batman ain’t afraid of no ghost.
