EA Has Made $3 Billion from Star Wars Games During Exclusivity Deal
Amid EA’s holding the exclusive rights to the Star Wars license, the franchise has generated over $3 billion for the publisher, as revealed during a recent investor call. Since the exclusivity deal started in 2013, EA has sold more than 52 million copies of Star Wars games (as of Dec. 31, 2020). Now, that exclusivity is ending, but that doesn’t mean EA will stop publishing Star Wars games. However, other developers like Ubisoft will be able to develop Star Wars projects.

Activision Bans Over 60,000 Warzone Cheaters
In light of the major cheating problem in Call of Duty: Warzone, Activision has stepped in and banned over 60,000 accounts across all platforms. To date, the company has banned over 300,000 cheaters in Warzone, though the problem has run rampant in recent memory — including players who can turn invisible, negate death while in the gas, auto-lock to achieve 100% accuracy, and other issues. This will hopefully make a dent in the huge pool of cheaters found in Warzone.
Breaking: Activision says Raven Software will lead communications for Warzone going forward and plans to improve comms to provide better updates. They will provide “at minimum” monthly updates on anti-cheat, sometimes even weekly. https://t.co/gO1l9u5PVr
