Wii U Just Received Its First Update Since 2018
Nintendo just released a Wii U firmware update for the first time since 2018. As expected, update 5.5.5 only provides “system stability,” but some speculate this might be to prevent the machine from being hacked, as noted by publication VGC. The Wii U is regarded as one of Nintendo’s biggest failures, reaching only 13.56 million units sold after four years on the market. By comparison, Nintendo Switch is about to reach its fourth birthday and has sold around 80 million units.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon Out on PS5 Now, but Players Were Having Issues Upgrading
Yakuza: Like a Dragon launched for PlayStation 5 today, featuring enhanced visuals and upgraded performance thanks to the newer hardware. Those who own the game on PS4 will gain access to the PS5 version at no additional cost. However, players were reporting experiencing issues with the upgrade process, which prompted users to re-buy the new version instead. Though, developer RGG Studio took to Twitter to announce that upgrading should work now — and to let them know if any issues persist. Sadly, the new version does not allow for save transfers, meaning you’ll have to start it from scratch if you jump in on PS5.
The issues related to the upgrade path for Yakuza: Like a Dragon on PlayStation 5 have been resolved! Please let us know if you encounter any further problems and thank you again for your patience!
