VideoGame Expo 2007 Announced

Details for this year’s VideoGame Expo released.

Lunar Tide Communications, Inc. has announced that the VideoGame Expo 2007 (VGXPO) will be hosted in Philadelphia from November 2 through 4 in the 100,000-square-foot Pennsylvania Convention Center. Single day passes will be priced at $15 and will be sold, along with three-day passes and other deals, online at the VGXPO website. VGXPO will feature new products, tournaments, concerts and the largest videogame job fair with industry experts speaking to game students about landing a job in the business.

Ed Fleming, executive director of the show, described the event. “America’s VideoGame Expo is three days of videogame revelry. Our convention is an annual gaming destination – where gamers and industry insiders can come together to celebrate videogames.”

He continued to discuss the pricing structure. “We have one rule for VGXPO – no gamer should be left out. We want to make VGXPO accessible to everyone. … These passes will include access to the expo hall, the VGXPO Arcade, VGXPO gaming kiosks, and keynote speakers.”

Additional sponsors will be signed to help support the growth in popularity and size, including NVIDIA, Atari, Comcast, Microsoft, Nyko, Game Crazy, 1UP Network, Game Developers Conference, and Nintendo. Bill Rehbock, Senior Director of Content Partner Relations at NVIDIA, sees the event as an important marketing relationship. “VGXPO provides a fantastic showcase for the NVIDIA-equipped PC as a mass-market consumer gaming platform. VGXPO is a great venue for consumers to come and learn how NVIDIA-based PCs are the perfect platform for the gaming capabilities of Microsoft’s new Windows Vista operating system.”
