SCi, Eidos’ parent company, and Warner Bros have announced a new business deal.
Warner Bros Home Entertainment will handle North American distribution of SCi titles for $30 million in new company shares.
SCI will raise $120 million and offer 171,605,424 new shares in the company.
The company anticipates that Tomb Raider: Underworld will ship worldwide ahead of Christmas.
“Today we have significantly strengthened our relationship with Warner Bros. – one of the world’s largest media groups – to create an exciting strategic partnership, giving us increased scale in the North American market, to the benefit of all our major franchises,” said SCi CEO Phil Rogers.
SCi had been operating under a cloud as recently as February, cutting a quarter of all staff and canceling 14 projects.
