Werewolf: the Apocalypse – Earthblood by Cyanide Studio is a third-person action adventure game set in the World of Darkness universe — the same tabletop RPG universe that houses the Vampire: the Masquerade games. You play as Cahal, a burly werewolf fighting alongside his family and friends to stop the evil megacorporation Endron from syphoning and polluting the planet to the point of literal destruction.
Ultimately, the game feels like it was ported forward from the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 generation. It strangely invokes a sense of nostalgia with its nu metal soundtrack and meathead protagonist, but its ham-fisted story and dated mechanics don’t conjure up warm memories today.
Werewolf the Apocalypse – Earthblood is out today for $49.99 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Epic games store.
