If you need to know where to use the Flower Key in Baldur’s Gate 3, then you’re in the right place.
Keys in Baldur’s Gate 3 come in many forms, and a lot of them can be ignored if you’ve got the right tools for the job, and a high enough Dexterity stat. However, finding a key just makes you want to find what it opens, especially when a quest is involved, and that’s the case here.
The Flower Key in Baldur’s Gate 3 is an important part of solving the Open Hand Temple murder in Act 3 of the monumental and rather horny RPG. You’ll have a chance of coming across this normally, or you could be led to the temple if you’ve picked up the strange Sentient Amulet during Act 1 in the Underdark. Either way, there’s a floating elephant Sherlock Holmes who’s trying to solve the crime, and you’ll need this key to help. If that sentence seems strange to you, then you’re right, it is strange.
Where to Use the Flower Key in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3)
Just in case you’ve not actually found the Flower Key, or the Key with a flower motif, in Baldur’s Gate 3 and have somehow ended up here, let us help you out. The Flower Key can be found underneath the Open Hand Temple on a dead body, which you can access via a wooden hatch in the temple itself. Once you’ve got your hands on this key, you’ll need to journey to Flaypo’s Flophouse, which can be found north of Rivington.

If you’ve not been there yet, you’ll have to find the Flophouse itself, and given how dense Act 3 is, there’s a large chance that you’ll end up in at least one fight along the way, and probably find a whole slew of other quests and conversations to get involved with as well. Seriously, Act 3 feels like about half the game when you’re being thorough, so be prepared for that.
Once you’ve found the building itself, you’ll need to make your way all the way up to the third floor, and you’ll find a wardrobe that’s pretty clearly blocking off a secret area. The good news is that the Baldur’s Gate 3 Flower Key unlocks that wardrobe, and will allow you to go inside and keep investigating The Open Hand Temple murder, and also continue on with another investigation as well.
