WitcherCon Schedule Announced, Including Panel with Henry Cavill

The Witcher season 2 first look WitcherCon Netflix Geeked Week CD Projekt Red schedule Henry Cavill

Are you the kind of person who could spend an entire day watching people talk about The Witcher? Then you’re going to be really excited about Netflix and CD Projekt Red’s WitcherCon schedule lineup, which the two companies announced today. WitcherCon is a full-day virtual event focusing on all things Witcher (aside from the original source novels) and will take place July 9.

The event will have a heavy focus on the second season of Netflix’s The Witcher and the upcoming spin-off anime, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, but will also include talks about the video games, comic books, and board games based on the popular fantasy franchise. The convention, which is more of just a series of panels, is hosted by Julia Hardy and promises to show off a slew of special reveals and special short-form content that gives never-before-seen insights into the production and creative processes behind everything. That probably means we will at least get a trailer for the anime, if not The Witcher season 2 itself.

The entire thing culminates with a one-on-one discussion with Henry Cavill, who will dive deep into a host of topics and, if the convention goes how most of these things do, deliver the “and one more thing” moment before dropping the first trailer for season 2. Missing from the WitcherCon schedule is any mention of the upcoming prequel mini-series The Witcher: Blood Origin. The show recently lost its lead, so it’s possible Netflix isn’t ready to present anything or it’s just saving it for another surprise.

WitcherCon will be available on both Twitch and YouTube and stream twice over, with each stream featuring new content. The first airs on July 9 at 7:00 p.m. CEST / 1:00 p.m. ET. The second stream will begin at 3:00 a.m. CEST on July 10 / 9:00 p.m. ET on July 9. Check out the full details for each panel in the WitcherCon schedule below.
