Wrath of the Lich King Beta Registration Opens

Hot news for World of Warcraft players: Blizzard is now taking registrations for the Wrath of the Lich King beta test.

Worldofwar.net has the news that players can now toss their names into the hat by logging into their account management page and selecting the Wrath of the Lich King Beta Opt-In link. No date is given for the start of the beta, but it’s a safe bet that if Blizzard is taking names, it can’t be too far off.

It’s also a safe bet that registering is no guarantee of getting in. Over ten million people play World of Warcraft, and the only ones who aren’t hammering the signup servers at this very moment in an attempt to get into the beta are the ones who aren’t home from work yet. But if you’re feeling lucky and want to get an early glimpse at Blizzard’s next World of Warcraft expansion (and you know you do), you can register for selection here for U.S. account holders and here for European players.
