Write Some Graffiti for Serious Sam 3

Serious Sam fans are being asked to come up with some good wall graffiti for Serious Sam 3: BFE after the jerk Lead In-Game Wall Graffiti Artist abruptly quit to pursue his stupid dreams.

The Croatian videogame development industry is in an uproar following the surprise departure of Serious Sam 3 Lead In-Game Wall Graffiti Artist Davor Kovač from Croteam, just as the studio is in the process of putting the final touches on its latest and greatest release. Because of the extremely high demand for in-game wall graffiti specialists, the studio will not be able to replace Kovač before the scheduled launch date of Serious Sam 3 and is instead reaching out to its fan base in hopes of finding someone capable of getting the job done. Kovač, however, expressed doubt that it would happen.

“Writing lines for wall graffiti in first-person shooters is a lost art,” he said. “There is literally no way anyone else other than me could write these lines. Definitely not Serious Sam fans.”

Nonetheless, the studio is pushing forward with the plan, asking fans to submit their ideas on Twitter with the #SeriousSam hashtag, or by posting them on the Serious Sam Facebook page, also with the #SeriouSam tag. Entrants whose suggestions are used in the game will be listed in the credits, and all submissions, even those that don’t appear in the game, become the property of Devolver Digital.

“All unused lines will be collected and released as a $50 Graffiti DLC Pack,” said Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker. “That’s motherf*cking capitalism right there.”

Serious Sam 3 comes out later this year for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
