There is no E3 this year, but there will still be some major game publisher showcases coming. Case in point, the Xbox & Bethesda Game Showcase has been announced for June 12, 2022 at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT. It will be broadcast globally in more than 30 languages. The showcase will be available to view through YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok, and it will feature games from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, and their global partners.

The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022 will be enthusiastically welcomed by fans, particularly because Xbox has been pretty quiet all year. It has a massive stable of studios working on almost countless AAA games, some of which have not even been formally announced, but things are still feeling pretty dry at the moment. It doesn’t help that some of the most recent Microsoft news involved reported development struggles at The Initiative on the Perfect Dark reboot.

Bethesda is releasing Starfield this November though (barring any delays), and it’s one of the most anticipated games of this year or any year. The hope is that it can become a third pillar beside The Elder Scrolls and Fallout, and while gameplay largely remains a mystery, Bethesda has been eager to talk about the game’s development on a broad level.
