The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022 will be enthusiastically welcomed by fans, particularly because Xbox has been pretty quiet all year. It has a massive stable of studios working on almost countless AAA games, some of which have not even been formally announced, but things are still feeling pretty dry at the moment. It doesn’t help that some of the most recent Microsoft news involved reported development struggles at The Initiative on the Perfect Dark reboot.
Bethesda is releasing Starfield this November though (barring any delays), and it’s one of the most anticipated games of this year or any year. The hope is that it can become a third pillar beside The Elder Scrolls and Fallout, and while gameplay largely remains a mystery, Bethesda has been eager to talk about the game’s development on a broad level.
